Meet the Team
Like all great endeavors, Rancho Estrellita began with a vision. Turning that vision into reality required assembling a core team of experienced professionals with expertise across a wide range of disciplines. These extraordinary eco-ranches—and the environmental treasures they protect—are only possible through the coordinated efforts, expertise, and dedication of many professionals working toward a common goal.
Permitting a mitigation bank is an arduous undertaking, involving numerous complex, interconnected, and often frustrating elements. The process can easily require three to five years or more, along with significant investment of time and capital. At times, it can feel like a journey of a thousand miles. And permitting is only part of the challenge. Countless ancillary matters demand continued attention, focus, resources, and perseverance.
The entire Estrellita Team has risen to that challenge. For many members of the team, their work and commitment will continue well beyond the issuance of the permit. Proper management, disciplined implementation of the Plan, and long-term sustainability will be essential to successfully stewarding these extraordinary assets in perpetuity.
Led by Jason Dart and Greg Salas of Althouse & Meade, the core Estrellita Team has proven to be exceptionally capable, resourceful, and relentless. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to the advancement of this vision, whether their role was large or small.
When Rancho Estrellita is ultimately permitted—hopefully in early 2027—the collective efforts of this remarkable team will have helped preserve one of Northern San Luis Obispo County’s great remaining eco-ranches, protecting its environmental treasures for generations to come.
